Travel again safely with us. We are very excited to bring you PROVENCE & RIVIERA, GO PRIVATE!, a private guided tour for a more exclusive experience. Gather your friends, family or colleagues, or travel with your grandchildren (minimum 2, maximum 6 guests). Spend an unforgettable week travelling in safety with the people you care!  It's time to (re)discover the beauty of the PROVENCE & FRENCH RIVIERA, away from the crowd. We created a unique itinerary that blends walking on the footpaths with stunning views of the French Riviera, celebrating the cultural heritage of the region with playing petanque in Saint Paul de Vence, attending a hands-on perfume's workshop in Grasse, visiting Nice's local market, followed by an amazing cooking class.  Relax and enjoy wine tasting at our exceptional getaway wine estate nestling in the hills of Provence. You might decide to hike or biking around the domain. Stroll, sip, and savor your way through this unforgettable trip experience.

ITINERARY DAY BY DAY     

The order of visits may be modified depending on local conditions and weather issues. Accommodation may vary based on availability

DAY 1 -  Get settled in, MONACO at Sunset for dinner

Complementary private transfer from Nice Airport to your hotel upon your arrival | Check-in for 2 nights at the 5-star hotel Chateau de la Chèvre d'Or (or similar) and relax before meeting your driver guide at 4:00pm | Let your  private guide introduce you to the  famed French Riviera with a private tour of the glamorous Monaco | Sip an apperitif while going over your itinerary | Welcome diner at a gourmet restaurant in Monaco before returning to your hotel.

DAY 2 - EZE village and the sun-kissed horizons of the FRENCH RIVIERA

Set out for a day excursion with your private guide at your own pace, taking in some sightseeing in the coastal gems of the French Riviera | Meander through the narrow streets of EZE perched on the hilltop, allowing you to experience the breathtaking and world-famous panorama overlooking the sea | Private tour of the village including a visit to the Exotic Garden | Lunch on your own at a suggested restaurant before a free afternoon | Optional hike down all the way to the beach on the famous Friedrich Nietzsche Trail (we'll bring you back up) | Back to the hotel to unwind by the pool, numerous terraces and gardens | Fine dining 5-course dinner at the restaurant of the hotel is one of the culinary highlights of the trip.

DAY 3 - from GRASSE to the Hills of PROVENCE

Depart for an extraordinary day in Grasse, known for its long- established perfume industry | In Grasse, explore the scenic old town and enjoy some time at leisure | Savor a fresh lunch at one of the local eatery (not included) | Embrace the pleasures of fragrance during a hands-on perfume workshop | A perfume expert explains the art of perfume making, then you'll be creating your own composition selecting from more than 120 available essences | Take your perfume home to enjoy for months to come! |Using the back roads, we make our way to an exceptional getaway wine estate nestling in the hills of Provence|  Between the vines and centuries old olive trees, discover a place with a unrivaled sense of tranquility for an unforgettable getaway | Check-in at Chateau de Berne (or similar) for 2 nights | Gourmet dinner at the hotel tonight (included).

DAY 4 - TOURTOUR and a WINE ESTATE in PROVENCE

Depart for a leisurely half day excursion with your private guide and transportation before returning to Chateau de Berne for a relaxed afternoon | Visit the Villecroze's troglodytic vestige , tucked into the hollow of a limestone hillside | From here, continue to the lovely village of TOURTOUR amongst Les Plus Beaux Villages de France for a stroll and lunch on the main square in the shade of beautiful trees | Lunch in Tourtour is included at the end of our morning visit | Enjoy an afternoon back at Chateau De Berne | You might chose wine tasting of the different vintages with a tasting at the counter or a tour of the cellars | The tasting cellar also offers other regional treasures: home-made olive oil, jam made from produce from their orchards, honey| You can also  go biking or hiking around the domain | End your afternoon at the large infinity-edge pool or indoor spa of the domain. Choose the Bistrot or La Table du Chef for dinner at Chateau de Berne at your discretion.

DAY 5 - Pétanque in SAINT PAUL DE VENCE and NICE

Set out and get a feel of the local Art de Vive in Provence in the village of SAINT PAUL DE VENCE, located in the backcountry foothills of Nice, few miles from the  sea | Walk through the village, learn why St Paul became a “Royal Town,”’ and noblemen’s houses, ancient parchments and the treasures of the Collegiate Church bear witness to its historical significance. In the 20th century, successive Modern Art movements have left their mark upon the city | Many of the most famous painters, poets and artists came to stay and were inspired by the outstanding quality of its light, its beautiful position, and the simple pleasure of living there | After a lunch ad libidum, discover the local Art de Vivre with a pétanque session | End your day in Nice |Our hotel for the next 2 nights is the emblematic Hotel Le Negresco, situated on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice | We'll suggest a few restaurants for your enjoyment tonight. 

DAY 6 - Cooking in NICE

Meet your local chef and depart on foot to discover with him the great market of Nice and  local products | Learn about the secrets of classic Mediterranean dishes in a hands-on cooking class and enjoy the dishes you prepared for lunch | Admire the beauties of Nice during your free afternoon, the English Promenade, the Russian and English districts from the "Belle Epoque" period, and more | Farewell Dinner in a gastronomic restaurant in Nice.

DAY 7 - The voyage ends after breakfast today!

Your complementary transfer to Nice airport will depart at a time that fits your flight's departure time  | Please inform us of your flight information as soon as you have made the arrangements.

Booking

Your booking is valid once we have received your payment in full.  Prices are PER PERSON.

Car Rental

A Car rental is provided for our Self-Drive tours only, as an option for our participants arriving by plane or train.

Occupancy

Our prices are meant per person, in a double occupancy room (with one large bed known as "double bed" or 2 beds known as "twin beds"). For solo travelers or parties of 3 or more persons, please check the corresponding conditions.

Single supplement

The single occupancy supplement apply to solo travelers staying in a private room during a trip. French Incoming does not book solo travelers together in the same room unless these travelers have requested it. The single supplement is specified in the price segment.

Children's Discount

A children's discount apply to children that 16 years old or younger. Older kids are considered adults. The discount applies for children under the age of 16 years old staying in their parents' room. 

Infant bed

An infant bed may be provided by our hotel suppliers, but is not guaranteed. It is advisable that you bring your own folding infant bed if you travel with a very young baby. Otherwise, please let us know and we will do out utmost to provide on to you.

Travel documents

Your travel documents will be sent to you at least 5 days prior to the 1st day of your voyage with French Incoming.

Passport

Visitors from the Schengen area only need their National Identification Card to travel to France (though, passports work too). When travelling on a passport, it must be valid for at least 6 months AFTER your date of return.

Visa

Visitors from country outside of the Schengen Area are advised to ask the Foreign Affairs Department of their home country (or their country of residence) before booking their trip about whether they need a visa or not. Citizenship from countries that are part of the Visa Waiver Program, which can also be checked with the Foreign Affairs Department of their home country (or their country of residence), might not need a visa. 

Vaccinations

The World Health Organization recommends the following vaccinations for travelers to Western Europe: hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid and rabies. These are common vaccines that most people have had during their childhood. If you think your vaccination has expired, please check with your doctor or health provider.

Currency, Money

Along with sixteen other countries in the European Union, France has been using the EURO as its official currency since 2002. All major credit cards are accepted in France, but some retailers and small business might not accept American Express cards. 

Quality standards

The standards of the hotels we use have been ranked and evaluated by independent auditors, as per Atout France guidelines. You can trust that a 3-star hotel in France will have the same standards as any other 3-star hotels in the country. Same with all other categories.

Airport transfer

Airport transfers may be provided by independent suppliers.

Electricity

Electricity in France runs on a 220-volt, 50-hertz AC current. France also uses a Type E plug (round pin and receptacle with male grounding pin). If you bring electrical appliances, you might need a plug adapter. You may also require a transformer, although today, most major appliances have one built in. When in doubt, check with the manufacturer.
